“It’s Better To Burn Out Than To Fade Away” is a performance by Kurt Stockman and Jonas Nachtergaele.
Campfires are among the world’s oldest gatherings of people. I.B.T.B.O.T.T.F.A. builds on this tradition. Instead of letting old, neglected, almost forgotten paintings fade away in peoples’ atticks, cellars, garages and so on, they get a last, final change to light up a small part of the world, to burn in a social gathering. March 12 2009, Kapotski played at ‘the game is up! - How to save the world in 10 days‘, at Vooruit (Ghent.be). Kapotski invited Lander Ghyselinck (drums), Jozef Dumoulin (keys), Rodrigo Fuentealba (guitar) and Eric De Volder (scenography) to play along.

Kapotski launched K.I.S.R.T.S. 2008, a.k.a. the Kapotski International Shopdrop Record Tracking System: Kapotski distributed 500 vinyl records in music stores worldwide. The records are free of charge for anyone who is lucky enough to find them and features recordings of the ‘Emieltapes’, the improvisation sessions Kapotski held end 2006 in the Vooruit with Isolde Lasoen, Mauro Pawlowski, Jean-Marie Aerts, Fréderic Le Junter, Steven De bruyn & DJ Serhatullah Killa .
